Nessie-Roo and Milo welcomed their puppies on September 20, 2026. We’re enjoying these early weeks as they grow, change, and begin to discover their world.

His health testing
DNA tested through Optimal Selection and clear for all health variants included in his panel, including the tested variants for early-onset PRA, prcd-PRA, GM1, degenerative myelopathy, and CDDY/IVDD.
PennHIP screening
Milo’s hip screening showed less joint looseness than the breed average—an encouraging finding associated with a lower risk of hip arthritis. While no screening can promise a lifetime free of hip problems, his report places him in the mild-risk category.

Here in Wylie, Texas, our family raises Portuguese Water Dogs, sheep, and cut flowers. Adebel is a place where the things we love are given time, attention, and room to grow.
Our dogs are part of our family. We bring that same personal care to raising their puppies, with gentle handling, everyday household sounds, and age-appropriate introductions to the world around them.
We want each puppy to become a cherished companion. Getting to know the families who welcome them home is part of that journey.

Are Portuguese Water Dogs good family dogs?
They can be wonderful companions for engaged families who have time for exercise, training, grooming, and attention. As with any breed, supervise children and dogs and teach both how to interact gently.
Can I choose a puppy by color or sex?
Tell us your preferences when you reach out. We’ll discuss what is available and help you consider the right fit for your home. Pricing is the same across colors and sexes.
Does the standard price include breeding rights?
No. Our standard placement includes limited, non-breeding AKC registration. Breeding rights require approval and a separate agreement.
